There are countless lakes, rivers, streams, creeks, and some very unique places to paddle all over the world. With so many options how can one just pick one location? Breakdown some of my favorite places to paddle.
Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness - Minnesota - USA
LOVE this place! Located on the border of Minnesota and Ontario with over a million acres of wilderness and 1,100+ lakes, 2,000+ campsites, fantastic fishing, hiking, bluff views, and hidden waterfalls to make it an awesome paddling destination.
Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway and Namekagon River - MN/WI - USA
Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway shares the boarder of Minnesota and Wisconsin. The Namekagon flows 100 miles into the Saint Croix from the north. The Saint Croix flows 200 miles into the Mississippi River to the south. Different seasons provides a different experience. Super fun river to get away for day paddle, weekend, or make a longer trip.
Apostle Islands National Lakeshore - Wisconsin - USA
This National Lakeshore features 22 islands off the tip of Wisconsin, jutting out into Lake Superior. Protected and apart of the National Park System. There are motorized boats, but you can SUP to any of the islands, depending your paddling skills. See the amazing sea caves along the mainland or on some of the islands. Truly a magical place and BIG water paddling.
