Under the Bridge - St. Paul, Minnesota
I spotted some open water and I had to check it out. So I made my way down the following day with Nala to see what we could paddle. Found a great place to park and access the water, but I wanted a closer look at it. It just had a funky color and was weird to me that it was still open, when everything else is frozen over.
After a little photo session under the bridge, I headed over to what looked to be an easier way to access the water. Once I was there I was checking out my launch point. The water was so damn polluted. Gas, oil, trash, and just nasty ass water. I am not going to put Nala in that. I love her to much to paddle in that shit. Broke my heart to see the water that nasty...
Really made me think the rest of the day. What the fuck are we doing as humans? We need to be taking care of out planet. I don't care if you believe or not in global warming. We can all agree seeing water like that is disgusting and not right at all. We can all do our part to make sure we strive towards little or no impact. I am going to write a journal about this one for sure.
