SUP Storage
With a fleet a boards this year. I had to think about how I was going to store all 8 boards. I really liked keeping them inflated at 10psi, which I did over the winter in a uninstalled garage (-50 temps outside) and they only lost a single psi. Boards seem to be in way better shape stored like that and up off the ground to dry out faster. I have tried multiple ways of storing over the years with Nala, partially inflated was always the best. I also wanted wet boards on the bottom and dry ones up top, since I will be paddling 3+ days a week when the season fully kicks off. Just helps again keeping thing clean. I reached out to my buddy Jay about hooking me up with some pallets, he totally did! On the base, I removed all but the outer slats, mimicking how I was hanging and storing them before. Top deck, I kept whole for more support on the boards and keep it strong. Both top and bottom, I put a thin pad, we had left over. Worked great to have the boards making contact with that over wood, even though I filed all the edges round. The pad does help with sliding the boards in and out. Edge of the top pallet overhung allowing my paddles to rest standing up, which I love! Added two catch arms, my old easy storage self, in case the top boards try to take out my motorcycle. Oh! Bonus, bring a pallet made sweet side shelf for all the fins! Digging this layout and in the future will improve and slim down for the next stage of Rozyboom Adventrues!
