Parking: Have your hood facing the sun for as long as possible. Use trees, snowbanks, building, other cars to block the wind. Back in, always easier to leave just pulling out especially if it is snowing.
Have a blanket, towel, ground pad, anything to help keep you warm if you have to wait and vehicle is not running
Warm boots, extra layers, and heck even s sleeping bag is a good idea to have with ya.
Always have a pair with ya. To help you out and others that may need a jump.
Shovel for sure! I typically always have my ski gear ready to go all winter. Never know when POW will hit or I need to skim a long distance to get help.
Try to keep a full tank over long cold nights. Ideally, never go below a 1/4 tank. Opens you to freezing and potentially harder starting.
Make sure you battery is up to par. If a few years old, might need to replace it. I love to use deep cycle high Cold Cranking Amps for batteries
Exhaust freeze, just shows how cold it really is right now.
