Itasca
Staring my day off right :) Plus I don't know where to start about this park. Talk about a packed day! 21.24 miles explored biking/hiking and 9.21 miles by paddle board. Yeah I just kept going and going. Thinking I might have the right combination work for me this weekend.
Stated off biking the Wilderness Scenic Drive, while stopping and hiking the trails. Saw the largest White Pine Tree, remains of the Largest Red Pine Tree, Fire Tower, lakes, streams, and so much more.
After a full day exploring by land it was time to see what Lake Itasca is all about. I paddled from the launch all the way down the East Arm and all the way back up to the Headwaters. That's the point Lake Itasca turns into the mighty Mississippi River.
Overall, the park has a ton to offer and one could spend plenty of time to see it all. So I will be back, probably in the winter time, to explore the few trails I didn't via cross country skis or snowshoes.
