Camden
Camden was going to be my last stop due to all the biking trails they have, but I ripped a hole through my rear tire earlier in the week. Plus, the weather was showing rain and possibly storms which I didn’t want to be out on water if that took place. So no bike and no SUP on Friday, just meant I needed to spend more time hiking.
Put in some miles and the sky put on a show of heavy rain clouds mixed in with sunny pockets. Up on the prairie section of the hike started to get a little sketchy, weather wise. I didn’t want to be caught in the open fields when the rain and possible thunderstorms came sweeping in. Just made me pick up my pace to make for a great hike.
Afterwards, I headed down by the Redwood River for some meditation, yoga, and training. It was pretty nice, calm, and sunny (spotty) making for a super fun time playing around on down trees spanning out into the river. Park seemed to be very group friendly with lots of common areas to gather and a sweet swimming hole, which seemed to be a place to learn/practice canoe/kayak skills as well for kids. River is supposed to have some great fishing, but I don’t have any gear.. Yet :)
