Big Bog
Not originally on my list to hit on this adventure, but I thought about it on my drive up. Made the call to stop, which was a fantastic decision! Plus I was driving right on by. This place was a different world, given it is 500-square miles of peat bog. Stated as the largest in the lower 48 and commonly considered Minnesota's last true wilderness. It was truly something special from all the flowers, moss, bugs, snakes, and other amazing wildlife. So yeah for sure a different world! I only walked the boardwalk and hiked around the pond/lake. So just a quick stop. I'm pretty sure I provided a tasty meal for a "few" mosquitoes during my visit :)
