Slaying Northern Pike
Matt and I headed up to our good buddy Jay's cabin, which is actually his place of residence right now. I've been wanting to get up to his cabin for some time, but alway had a hard time lining it up. Well this time we got up there! Our mission to catch our daily limit on Northern Pike.
Bay Lake is being overran by those slimy ass holes. The DNR raised the limit to 10 per person per day, under 22". DNR said, we need to get at least 100,000 Pike out of the lake to help balance it out. None of us really fish for Pike normally. Jay is a crappie guy and Matt and I tend to fish for Bass, given we all catch Pike in the process since they will hit anything.
So we pumped up the paddle board and hit the water for two days of fun catching as many as we can! We did some work, cooked them up, and had a blast start to finish! I can not wait to get back up there and slay some more.
Oh yeah we got the Jeep stuck on a State Forest trail Friday night. How? Well I was asked do you want to off-road. Ummm yeah! And so we did. 6-7 trees used for winching, boiled coolant, and flinging mud everywhere later we got it out :)
