Starting the Season at Mount Bohemia
Started the season off at good ol Mount Bohemia. 7th year up there for some of us and for others it was their first time ever. So it was awesome to get the Big Yurt to fit everyone and give them them full experience. Speaking of experience we had people from strong riders down to fairly new, which was great to have the ski in/out for them. That way, if someone got separated from the group or needed a break it was easy to work their way back.
Snow was awesome on Thursday (opening day) got some fresh tracks, but turned to rain in the afternoon. Friday, was pretty decent little icy in the morning but it softened up for a kickass day on the slopes. Same can be said for Saturday. Sunday we said screw the ice and head home. Plus, everyone was pretty hungover and feeling the soreness from the days prior.
Very happy the rookies decided to join this year! Made for a really fun time on the slopes and off. Yeah typical shenanigans took place at night. I still cannot believe how much beer we crushed Saturday night lol. But overall, no one got hurt and everyone had a blast and that is all I can ask for! A group of us are already planning to get up for a second trip. Ha heck I am keeping an eye on the weather to get up a few times.
About 90-95% of these photos were pulled from GoPro footage. I had a GoPro and I gave Mitch one to use too. I didn’t spend much time taking photos, since I would rather rip up the slopes! Maybe next time I will bust out my good camera and get some sick shots, all depends how good the snow is :)
