Northern Getaway
Needed a getaway weekend, which I happened to have two days of PTO to burn. So I hopped in Lana and headed north. Wanted a certain photo and I knew the North Shore would have it. One of me paddling next to a frozen up waterfall.
Explored Minnesota state parts and wayside stops along the North Shore into the Boundary Waters. At that point, I went to the end of the Gunflint Trail to Jeep sleep on a cold night.
Next day, I headed into northern Wisconsin to checkout two state parks. Both claimed to have waterfalls. Figured I have not gotten my shot yet, I might as well head that way to see what I can make happen. Thankfully, one had open water! Got my shot, played around, made some lunch, and headed home.
